The Black Angel's Death Song

A friend has been trying to turn me onto darker psych lately. I've always been a fan of The Velvet Underground but his taste extends further into such territory. I consider myself pretty anti counter-culture so the depraved movements of heroin and bondage inspired psychadelia I can dig on. This has prompted me to revisit Love and Rockets quite a bit lately. I'm also leaving all of you with some music by a relatively new band named "Singapore Sling"(pictured above).

So young but so cold

Most of my music choices tend to evoke a colder atmosphere but its actually freezing in Dallas for once. I always fall back in love with life during these frigid months. The winter always lends itself to our dreams, our longings, our occasional loneliness, and our passions. At least it seems that way to me.

“I prefer winter and fall, when you feel the bone structure of the landscape - the loneliness of it, the dead feeling of winter. Something waits beneath it, the whole story doesn't show.”
